Registration/ Financial




  1. Upon registering your child for the September–June program, the following are required:
    A. A non-refundable registration fee of $50




  2. I agree with monthly tuition fee indicated in application form




  3. Any payment more than 15 days late will be subject to a $10 late fee. Tuition that is 30 days or more in arrearsmay result in my child being unable to attend classes, and the child’s spot may be forfeited to another student.




  4. If a child is added to a class between the 1st and 14th of the month, full monthly tuition will be charged.




  5. If a child is added to a class between the 15th and the end of the monthhalf of the monthly tuition will be charged for that month.




  6. If a payment is dishonored, a $20 service fee will apply, in addition to the late fee outlined in Section 3 if payment is received after 15 days. If more than one payment is dishonored within the school year, the situation will be reviewed. Continued non-compliance may result in withdrawal from the program.




  7. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure all fees are paid on time and that any required subsidy forms are renewed as needed.




  8. I understand that in order to reserve and maintain my child’s spot in the preschool, tuition fees must be paid in full, including periods when my child is absent due to vacation, illness, or other reasons.




  9. If I choose to withdraw my child from the preschool for any reason, I must provide one month’s written noticeon or before the last calendar day of the month prior to my child’s final month of enrollment. If proper notice is not given, one month’s tuition will be charged in lieu of notice. In urgent situations, a telephone call followed by a letter or an email to preschool@nwlb.ca may be accepted.




  10. I understand that Chipmunk Achievers Preschool does not issue refunds, including for child absences or school closures due to circumstances such as weather or power outages.




  11. I acknowledge that staffing and operational expenses are based on enrollment levels and must be maintained on an ongoing basis.




  12. To ensure the highest quality of service, the preschool prepares for each child every scheduled day, whether the child attends or not. Tuition fees are prorated over 10 months to include holidays, professional development days, and other scheduled closures.



Health & Safety




  1. To attend the preschool, my child must be well enough to participate in all aspects of the program, including outdoor play, unless prior arrangements have been made with the school.




  2. My child must come to school free from the following symptoms: fever over 100°F (37°C), undiagnosed rash, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive runny nose, or coughs that may transmit viruses.




  3. Only medications that are prescribed or recommended in writing by a physician for my child, and provided in their original container with complete instructions and precautions, will be administered by Chipmunk Achievers Preschool staff.




  4. Medication will only be administered after I have completed and submitted a “Permission to Administer Medication” form to the preschool staff.




  5. I will notify the staff by phone or in writing if someone other than the individuals authorized on my child’s registration form will be picking up my child.




  6. I will notify the staff by phone, email, text, or message if my child will be absent from school.




  7. Abuse Reporting: I understand that Chipmunk Achievers Preschool is legally required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.



Scheduling



  • 1. If, 30 minutes after the class closing time, the staff has been unable to reach me or any of the designated emergency contacts, the Ministry of Children and Family Development emergency services will be notified in accordance with licensing regulations. They will handle the situation as required. (This does not apply if special arrangements have been made in advance with the Director or Teacher.)




  • 2. I will adhere to the class hours of operation. If I pick up my child after the scheduled closing time, I agree to pay an overtime fee of $10.00 for every 20-minute period beyond the first 20 minutes. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
